Next-Gen project are a recent addition to Jira Cloud and have some unique characteristics. Namely, they contain their own issue types and dynamic workflow, and thus require some additional steps to work with Sparkr.
These steps need to be completed for each time a Next-Gen Project is created in Jira Cloud.
Create Issue Types
Sparkr required two issue types: Problem and Possibility. These can be created within a Next-Gen Project by going to “Project Settings” > “Issue types” > “Add issue type”.
The issue types must be named “Problem” and “Possibility” for the Sparkr app to function properly.
Create Workflow
Next-Gen project boards and their columns represent the issue workflow. Thus it is recommended that these are changed to represent a design thinking innovation workflow and states, i.e. To Do > Define > Validate > Decide > Done.
