This page will walk you through how to create a Problem for a specific problem spaces, that you can then define, validate, prioritise and solve with one or more possibilities.

STEP #1

There are different ways to create a problem, this first way shows you how to do it from the specific problem space (Jira term = "project") you are focused on e.g. Customer Experience

To this follow these steps:

  1. Go to the "Projects" on the main Jira nav bar
  2. From here, you can select the problem space you think your problem best fits (you will have already created your problem spaces (click here for the "how to create a problem space")






STEPĀ #2

Once you are on the project page you will have two ways to create a problem:

  1. On the left hand main Jira nav bar you can click on the "+" or
  2. You can click on the "+ create" from the bottom of your backlog column (name of this column might vary based on your workflow scheme, but it should be either "to do" or "backlog")








STEP #3

  1. Preventing Duplicate Personas: if you attempt to create a Persona with exactly the same name as an existing one, you will receive the following notification









STEP #4

  1. Complete
  2. Upload Avatar picture (file size limit is 20KB)
  3. Enter in Persona character details
  4. Select the personality dimensions which describe your Persona






STEP #5

  1. Once you create the Persona card it will look like this once you finish... you can minimise the card by clicking on the " ^ "
  2. You can also use these icons
    1. Pencil icon - edit the Persona
    2. Trash icon - delete the Persona (you will be asked to confirm before deletion)
    3. Backlog icon - this will take you to a backlog list for the Persona
  3. The "Problem (grey) : Possibilities (green)" bar chart shows the number of issues. Click on either Problems or Possibilities part of the chart to view the list
